⁴⁵ The other things that happened while Jehoshaphat was king are written in a book. The book is called ‘The history of Judah's kings’. It tells about the great things that he did and the battles that he fought. ⁴⁶ He also removed the male prostitutes who lived near the special altars.^[a] His father Asa had removed many of them when he ruled as king. Jehoshaphat removed those who were still there.

⁴⁷ At this time there was no king who ruled Edom. Their ruler was an officer that King Jehoshaphat had chosen.
